About The Process

Any project starts with your desire to improve your surroundings.  Depending on the scope of the work will influence the number of trades involved. If you are changing countertops all you'll need is Calvert Woodworks and a plumber. That may be all you need for a simple kitchen remodel also. For a more complex remodel you might need a carpenter, electrician and flooring trade. We can give you recommendations of trades we have worked with who strive for the same results we do.  If you are doing new construction then you probably already have the trades involved in your project. Measurements are the first thing needed to perform an estimate before designing your project. We can provide assistance with this if needed. For a countertop replacement, general measurements are all that is needed to provide you with an estimate. For kitchen estimates, more exact measurements are needed and we usually perform those our self.

 Selections are needed to give exact estimations but we can give you different cost options to help you narrow your selections towards final decisions. During the estimation process designs are done which can be emailed to you in a jpeg format. This is not done for countertop replacement projects. After final selections are made a contract with language and drawings most accurately describing our work for you will be signed with an estimated completion date and a draw schedule that we feel is fair to both parties. This section is called the process because it should take time to work through this. We are happy to assist you in our showroom with these decisions.
